"It's so nice to live where people care about making things, beauty, connecting ..." says Salt Spring Island artist Cathie Grindler.
The atmosphere at Artcraft is extra special at Christmastime, when the 120-year-old hall is at its most festive and looking its best decked in fresh fir boughs and lights. The artists and makers who participate in the winter show are also operating with maximum cheer, offering a wealth of unique, handcrafted items that make gift giving both meaningful and fun.
Artcraft represents nearly 100 artists from Salt Spring and the Southern Gulf Islands in our gallery space, but just in case making a choice seems overwhelming, we've put together a Gift Guide to help suggest some ideas.
Most items below were created for the holiday season and are not currently available online, but check out the links to see what else our featured artists have in the online shop. We can also arrange sales and shipping for any item not posted to our website (*Canada Post shipping demands leading up to Christmas may cause lengthy arrival delays).
