The exterior is made from high quality artist canvas covered with a clear Gesso and painted with acrylic paints and inks, then screen printed and stencilled. The interior lining is hand dyed 100% cotton. There is no internal structure so the Textile Tote has a relaxed form and can be folded flat for storage.

Measures approximately 26 cm across by 19 cm high (10 inches across by 7.75 inches high). Base is 19.5 by 9 cm (7.5 by 3 inches).

Textile artist Susan Purney Mark has embarked on a life-transforming journey into the world of colour, design and pattern. She studied Design, Patchwork and Embroidery with the prestigious City & Guilds Institute of London, England and has studied with internationally acclaimed teachers and quilt makers. Susan has spent the last 20 years learning, experimenting and then teaching a variety of surface design techniques in dyeing, painting, screen printing and image transfers. Most recently she has focused on mark making and textile narrative. Her work is known for its use of traditional methods with contemporary design and materials.
