Salt Spring artist Rhen Levy took this photograph one spring when she spent a lot of time with two lively families of Canada Geese. She used to watch them in the late afternoon when the goslings and their parents all had a bath in the pond, splashing, diving and seeming to really enjoy themselves. "I loved seeing how fuzzy and tiny these little ones were compared to their devoted Mama, who stayed right behind them as they all lay on the new-green grass to preen in the warm sun," Rhen says.
