Salt Spring artist Rhen Levy approaches her nature photography with a poet’s vision and often chooses to create a soft backdrop for her portrait shots. The tack sharp 300 mm prime lens she uses for wildlife photography is her favourite tool to compose the enchanting, intimate scenes found in her everyday environment.

"I love the simplicity of this image and the warm caress of that soft sunlight which I hope the viewer can also feel," Rhen says.

Originally from Montreal, Rhen Levy (aka Barbara) enjoys sharing the subtle beauty of nature from her west coast island home through her captivating work as a photographer and poet.
