Handwoven basket, made with kiwi vine, reed, seagrass, waxed linen thread, and basketry cane. In cream and brown tones with accent bands of lavender and purple dusk. Basket measures approximately 30 cm long by 19 cm wide (11.75 by 7.5 inches) and 15 cm (6 inches) high.

Donna Cochran’s passion for basketry evolved throughout her career of teaching and international development in West and East Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. She has studied with renowned basket makers from many cultures and learned a wide range of basketry techniques using traditional materials. Donna grows and/or harvests many of her materials herself, using ecological practises. She also employs contemporary materials and an imaginative range of upcycled and repurposed items.
