Salt Spring Printmakers Society blossoms with new studio space

The Salt Spring Printmakers Society is a small local arts organization that is truly finding its feet -- and its heart -- after a decade of development. The society started as a sub-group of the Salt Spring Painters Guild, with members who were interested in printmaking managing to acquire and store one mini press at the Guild's ArtSpring headquarters. The Printmakers group grew by holding an annual exhibition for several years, but has really come into its own since the opening of community arts and recreation space at the former Salt Spring Middle School.
